The Miata automobile is also known as the Mazda MX-5. This model is marketed by this Japanese automaker in North America and the same vehicle has been renamed as Roadster to market it in the domestic Japanese market. The Miata vehicle was designed to be have minimal necessary weight and mechanical complexity, and yet it was technically modern.

It has the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension. The automobile was first unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989 and the cost was US $13,800. The optional hardtop version was also made available. It could easily reach 96 km/h or 60 mph in just 9.4 seconds and had a top speed of 190 km/h or 119 mph.
